VanDance will be holding auditions for it's new work called "?" , to be premiered May 20-23th, 2004 at Williamsburg Arts neXus.

Please bring a resume. We will be doing some Authentic Movement Improvisation, some partnering
work and learning a phrase.

VANDANCE was founded in New York City in 2002 by Valerie
Norman. The company has performed at Joyce Soho, Mulberry Street Theater, The WIlliamsburg Art and Historical Center, The
92nd St. Y, Movement Research at Judson Church and in Rochester, NY. The upcoming production of "?" in 2004
will include a collaboration with theater director Bruce Ornstein in a new work that will lead audiences to question
their perception of reality by challenging the boundaries of performance. As the experience of "?" progresses, the lines
between performance and reality become increasingly unpredictable, seemingly dangerous and ultimately awakening. To

| Valerie Norman in "Game Over" |
Valerie Norman graduated from Connecticut College with a degree
in dance and art history, and studed for one year at the Laban Institute and Goldmsith's College in London. In
New York City, she has danced with Henning Rubsam/Sense Dance, Pat Cremins, Sam Carlton, Alice Jane Klughertz, Gabriella
Barnstone and Rachael Thorne Germonde. She also worked with Kun Yang-Ling and Catherine Miller at The Yard. Valerie
has choreographed her own work in NYC since 1996. Prior to that, she spent six months teaching and
choreographing at The Beijing Dance Academy in China. In addition to teaching dance and choreographing, Valerie
teaches yoga to children and adults.
